    I love everything about Tailwind

Posted by Chuck on 24th Sep 2019

I've used all kinds of nutrition drink products over the years. I started using Tailwind training for Ironman Arizona in 2018, and now it is the only product I will use. It saved my race when my body wouldn't let me eat solid food on the course. I have yet to find a flavor I don't like (I did put off trying the green tea, but even that is delicious).

If you're on the fence, definitely give this a shot. I recommend tailwind every time someone asks me about endurance nutrition. If this company went out of business, I'd probably have to stop doing Ironman races.

I use this product at work. Having been an USFS Hotshot firefighter for 22 years I’ve tried all sorts of products to help keep me going on long shifts. Hands down whether on physical training runs or 16 hour shifts in the mountains Tailwind keeps me alert and focused without any stomach issues.

Put your toes in the sand

Posted by Steven Bennion on 18th Jun 2018

OK so maybe you won't feel like your toes are in the sand, its a lot of work out there grinding out the miles athletes, but this is a great flavor, subtle, and easy on the stomach. I am training for my first 50k and have really felt the impact of this endurance fuel on my trail runs. On my longer runs I alternate the caffeinated and non-caffeinated endurance fuels in my flasks and definitely feel and extra pop from the caffeine, great feeling later in the miles of a long run when you need that extra kick. It has been keeping me well fueled and hydrated on the hotter summer runs. Definitely recommend the tropical buzz and the other tailwind endurance fuel flavors.

Caffeinated Tropical Buzz

Caffeine kick!

Caffeinated Tailwind meets all your calorie, hydration, and electrolyte needs just like you'd expect, plus it adds 35mg of caffeine per 100 calories. Caffeine is proven to significantly enhance high-intensity and endurance performance.*

Nutrition Facts

  • Caffeine boost when you need that extra kick
  • Complete calories, electrolytes, and hydration: Ditch the gels, chews, and pills, and go all day with just Tailwind.
  • No gut bombs: Stomach problems? You’ll love Tailwind. Unless you enjoy being doubled over, retching.
  • Tasty all day: Clean, light flavors taste better the longer you go.
  • Hydration pack love: Dissolves on contact and cleans up with a quick rinse. No film, aftertaste or science experiments!
  • All natural: Crystal clear with no dyes, preservatives or 4-syllable magical ingredients.

Usage is similar to regular Tailwind except that we recommend limiting continuous use to 6 hours or less to avoid building up a high concentration. Each scoop contains 100 calories and 35mg of caffeine. For endurance workouts, mix 2-3 scoops per 24 oz of water per hour. Adjust to your personal calorie needs during training, using hunger as a guide. When it’s dialed in, you’ll feel satisfied and energetic, not hungry or full. On hot days, keep the same calories per hour, but increase water. To use in combo with other foods, reduce Tailwind intake by the calories you’re consuming elsewhere to avoid overloading the gut. For shorter workouts (<2hr), you can use less Tailwind to taste.
